The Mustang II era was finally over. The next generation of Mustangs was introduced in 1979. The new mustang designed around the Fox platform, looked nothing like the orignal pony car. Reflecting a European design influence, the nose, grille, and raked windsheild had a cleaner, more aerodynamic look.
